The BMW 320i was a variant of the E46 BMW 3 Series that was introduced for the 1999 model year. The 320i was offered in both sedan and wagon body styles, and was initially powered by BMW's 148hp M52 2.0L inline six. From the 2001 model year, BMW used their new M54 engine, which was a 168hp 2.2L inline six engine. These engines were available paired to a 5 speed manual, or 5 speed automatic transmission, both of which sent power to the rear wheels. Production of the E46 BMW 320i lasted until 2006.
