The 330Ci was a variant of the E46 BMW 3 Series that was introduced for the 2001 model year. The 330Ci was available in coupe and convertible body styles (thus the 'C' in the name), and was powered by BMW's M54B30 engine. This 3.0L inline six unit produced 225hp in North American specification (231hp in Euro spec), and sent power to the rear wheels via both manual and automatic transmission options. A tuned, sporty version of the 330Ci known as the 330Ci ZHP was also offered. Production of the E46 330Ci lasted until 2006, although the model series would continue life in the next generation E90 BMW 3 Series.
