The 320i is a variant of the E36 BMW 3 Series introduced for the 1991 model year. Offered in sedan, coupe, convertible, and Touring (station wagon) bodystyles, the 320i was powered by a 2.0-liter inline six cylinder — initially the M50, followed by the M52 for the 1993 model year. These engines were paired to both manual and automatic transmission options that sent power to the rear wheels. The E36 320i was not available in the US, and was in production until 1998, although the model series would continue in the next generation E46 BMW 3 Series.
