The BMW 330i was a variant of the E46 BMW 3 Series that was introduced for the 2001 model year. The 330i was available in sedan and station wagon body styles and was powered by BMW's M54B30 inline six engine that generated 225hp in North American specification (231hp in Euro spec). This engine sent its power to the rear wheels through both manual and automatic transmission options. A four wheel drive version, known as the 330Xi was offered, as was a tuned, sporty version known as the 330i ZHP. Production of the E46 330i ended in 2005, with the model series continuing life in the next generation E90 BMW 3 Series.
