The 335xi was a variant of the E90 BMW 3 Series. This series of all wheel drive cars were based on the E90 335i, and were offered as sedans (E90), station wagons (E91), coupes (E92), and convertibles (E93). The 335xi was powered by BMW's N54B30 engine. This twin-turbo 3.0L inline six generated 302hp and was used until 2008, when a new engine known as the N55B30 was used. This new engine featured a single turbocharger and generated 322hp. In 2009, BMW changed their naming convention, with their all-wheel drive cars being known as "xDrive," no longer using the "x" in the model series name. Both manual and automatic transmissions were built. Production of the E90 335xi lasted until 2013 when the model series was discontinued.
